A true gem in a beautiful setting

We spent 5 nights in this beautiful place. The setting and the unit are quiet, peaceful and surrounded by Alaska beauty. The pictures are absolutely accurate yet the place is even better than the pictures. We were lucky to have mostly reasonable weather and were able to sit out on our deck and have a glass of wine and view Auke Bay Cove. Our hostess Bernie was exceptional! Very attentive, friendly, always helpful and available if needed. Just the kind of hostess you would want. The property is nicely appointed with a very comfortable bed and high quality bedding, towels, kitchen necessities. Location is close enough to Auke Bay (the town), fishing charters, Mendenhall Glacier, Safeway, and downtown. This one is a keeper. It’s a first class place and we would love to stay here again.

Peaceful Retreat

This property was incredible. A few steps from the water, incredible views, peaceful setting and a quick drive to everything, this property was just perfect for our trip. Our hostess, B, was top notch and thought of everything to make the stay special and convenient. Highly recommend The Cove! Thank you, B! 🙂
